We wish Mrs. Josephine Ryan all the best in her retirement on 31/08/2007. Josephine has been a very popular and valuable member of our staff for many years. She is a very dedicated teacher
who has given very loyal service to the school over the years. She will be missed by staff and pupils.

On 31st. of August 2004 Mr. Patrick O'Keeffe retired as principal of St. Francis School. Pat has given 31 years dedicated service to St. Francis School and - indeed -to the whole area of Special Education. He has devoted much of his time and energy to promoting the cause of children
with special needs. Pat is a strong believer in the role of the Special School and has fought many a frustrating and thankless battle to promote this role. All of us wish him the best in his retirement and look forward to his continued support and counsel.
In June 2004 Pat delivered the closing address - entitled "The Special School in an Age of Inclusion" - to the I.A.T.S.E. annual conference read it here.
